The Newsletter “EU Mission Soil Deal for Europe” mentions the training sessions recently held in the framework of Soil Olive

The newsletter “EU Mission Soil Deal for Europe”, produced by the European Commission, mentions in its June newsletter the sessions held in recent weeks within the framework of Soil O-Live and in collaboration with Deoleo

The Project News section contains information on these 14 training sessions that began in April and are scheduled to run until September. Entitled “Soil biodiversity and functionality of Mediterranean olive groves: a holistic analysis of the influence of soil management on the quality and safety of olive oil”, they aim to instruct and inform farmers on the application of sustainable practices in their olive groves and soil care.

In last year’s edition of this conference, more than 600 farmers had the opportunity to learn about the importance of soil care for the maintenance of the tree and the quality of olive oil through this project 100% financed by the European Union. Precisely, one of the objectives of Soil O-Live is to study the effect of agricultural management on the general state of health of soils in Mediterranean olive groves, as well as its impact on the production and quality of olive oils produced in the Mediterranean region.
