Soil O-Live and Deoleo hold four Sustainability Workshops this September

During the month of September, Soil O-live and Deoleo have scheduled several Sustainability Workshops in different locations. The aim of these sessions is to educate and inform farmers about the implementation of sustainable practices in their olive groves and soil care.
The first one took place yesterday, Tuesday 17th September at SCA Bedmarense in the town of Bedmar (Jaén). Jesús Rubio, Deoleo’s sustainability technician, and Iván Sánchez, manager of the Soil O-Live project, took part in the event. The former explained to those present the sustainability protocol of his company and how they certify companies in this regard. Sánchez shared with the participants what the Soil O-Live project consists of and the first results obtained.
The second day will be held today at the Sociedad Cooperativa San Isidro de Villafranca de los Barros (Badajoz) with the participation of Bartolomé Lara, Global Sustainability Technician at Deoleo, and Antonio Manzaneda, coordinator of the Soil O-Live project.
Next week, the conference will continue on Wednesday at SCA La Unión de Bujalance (Córdoba), also with Lara and Manzaneda as speakers; and on Thursday at SCA Olivarera y Cerealista San Sebastian de los Ballesteros (Córdoba) with Bartolomé Lara, Jesús Rubio and Víctor Valenzuela, Soil O-Live researcher.
These two actions are part of a programme of 14 conferences that were announced in March and that have been held or will be held in different locations in Spain, Italy and Portugal.
